Getting super strong but every half hour. Talk to the midwife two hours ago and told me to take painkiller and rest and call her if I need. I know it’s not labor but they are super strong... any thoughts? 39 weeks today

This looks like my last week. I'm 40 + 1 but my entire week 39 was contractions. Body is practising for the big day. Get lots of sleep if you can. ;) My last check up Dr said anytime in next 72 hrs. ;)

Why isn’t this considered pre labor? Looks like it?

Well my contractions never really got closer than 5 minutes apart or so until the last 11/2 hours. My midwife said that it gets the job done for some women🤷🏼‍♀️ like mine definitely were getting way stronger, but just not super close together. So I’d say it’s definitely a good sign for you 🤞
