Planing baby?

Question

Just wondering what you all thought on planing a baby and waiting till everything is as right as you can get it ? I have friends that say there isn't a right time and a couple who said they are glad they put more planing into it! If you have already had a baby is there anything you would change up or do different this time?

Idk about the right time because when you think the time is right anything could happen and you can do all the planning in the world but when that baby comes you learn plans may fail you gotta take it day by day like I had a birth plan and go to the hospital and had a unplanned c section we bought a beautiful crib he hates the crib we bought newborn clothes he was to big for them we planned to get an apartment while I was pregnant are care broke down it took the move in fees to fix it my point is plan but don't expect it to go threw like you planned

I believe there isn't a right time because some ppl have children n they end up changing their lifes for  the better n it wasn't even planned.

My husband and I talked about this before TTC. If you plan and wait for the "perfect/right" timing- you'll never do it. Something will always come up. If you want it- go for it (as long as you have the basics to be able to provide adequately). Meaning- who cares whether you own or rent, as long as you have a home. If you can provide roof over their head, food in their mouth and clothes/diapers on their body- as well as emotional support and love- thats all they need 😊

Planning for it is good, I think waiting until the time is "better" not "perfect" works well. You wouldn't buy a car or a house without a plan, why have a baby without one?

I don't know that there's a 'perfect' time, but I do believe there's a 'right' time, and it's not always just when you want one. If you're planning it, then why not truly plan for it? Plan on how you're going to feed it, diaper it, dr appts, savings for college and its future, and all the added expenses that go with it. I don't mean you have to have $100,000 in your savings, just have a plan. Plan how you want to raise your child, talk to the man you want to be the father about parenting techniques and choices, from when to introduce solids to CIO, to schooling and potty training and time outs versus spankings. Of course, keep in mind that things don't always go according to plan, but talk to each other and try to be on the same page with stuff. When you know you've discussed stuff and you know how you're going to raise your child, emotionally and financially, then go for it!

My first was not planned. His father left before he was born, even though I thought we'd have a life together-albeit very difficult, because we were very poor. He cleared out our bank account. 
14 years later, with a loving & loyal husband, we're ready to try. We are still poor, but I have a really good job that is stable and I enjoy. He's always worried, but we've waited for better times. Been together 9 yrs, married 4. I'm older, but we're planning the future so it won't seem overwhelming.

I planned it to a T. I waited until we got married and planned when I got pregnant down to the month. I'm in the military and can't really have a baby at my next duty station so I only had a year time frame while I was in a grad school program. I'm really glad it worked out but honestly I still dont feel ready even though we are in our thirties. I don't think I will ever feel ready. Also, last year while wedding planning, I got pregnant by accident when I missed a couple pills and ended up having a miscarriage. Although that one was very unexpected we were still happy, then crushed. If I wasn't in the military I probably wouldn't have worried so much about planning the right time.
