Has anyone used this type of doppler?

I’m 13 weeks 1 day. I bought this doppler from a lady on a Facebook resale group. She couldn’t find the instructions. It shows a heartbeat for about 2 seconds but I can’t hear anything, then it goes away. I don’t know if I just can’t hear or find the heartbeat because I’m only 13 weeks or what’s going on? If I run my hand over the probe thing, I can hear the noise it makes so I know the sound works. I don’t have kind of lube, so could that be a reason why I can’t hear anything? I don’t want to keep trying to find the heartbeat. I’ve read where too much can harm the baby. I don’t know if that’s true or not.

I got the aqua sonic gel with mine. My Doppler is a different brand though. At 13 weeks the heart beat may just be harder to hear and find because the baby still has a ton of room to move around in there!

i have this one! when i ran out of gel i started to use pain Aloe vera its the perfect substitute!

Get some lube for it. You can buy it at walmart if you type in doppler gel. That believe it or not makes a difference. I was terrified because I thought my baby didnt have a heartbeat at 11 weeks but I got to hear it at 13 weeks. I'm a big girl so I was afraid i wasnt gonna get to hear it til like 16 weeks.

Without the jelly I don’t think it really will allow it to work to its potential, if you can find it at store buy any other kind of jelly substances do it works just fine. I use a doppler all the time, starting at 8 weeks, and I can easily find both my twins heartbeats. This thing gives me so much peace of mind but it took me a while to be able to work out the nicks.

13 weeks is not too soon to find the heartbeat, I found mines at 8. YouTube some videos you might just be looking for it in the wrong area. When I first did it I was looking in the middle of my stomach lol but it was so much lower! Definitely need a gel though if you have aloe gel at home that works if not baby oil or lotion, put a lot of it! After I found it I used the Doppler every day until I started feeling baby kicking.

I have this same one .. u probably won't get a heart beat till around 16 weeks .. it's easy to mistake it own for the baby with this one

Agree what others are saying. I have one too and the baby might be too small still. Lotion worked just fine for me and YouTube has videos on how to use it too.

I have this same Doppler. I use dollar story KY jelly and it works fine and it’s super cheap. A little icon appears next to the heartbeat if it is most likely your heartbeat, and if you hear a heartbeat and the icon doesn’t show next to the rate on the screen it’s most likely baby’s. However I’m 27 weeks and I still struggle to find the heartbeat sometimes. Just depends on how he’s turned and with you being so early it would probably just be luck if you were able to find it
