Long term compatibility

I'd like some views on how much intelligence levels and creativity have affected the long term compatibility of others relationships. I'm well read and an artist, my fiancé of two years is bored by those things - but supportive. I'm getting concerned that we are too different. I'm also concerned that all the other noise in our lives is causing the stress I'm feeling about us.
