We announced our unplanned pregnancy to our children and they are not happy.

My husband and I have a 14 year old, an 11 year old and a 9 year old. A few days ago we told them we’re expecting another and they aren’t happy, to say the least. Our 9 year old is at least kind of happy. She’s a very pleasant child so even though she might not be happy, she will list positives so others are happy. She doesn’t want us to be upset. Our 11 year old just doesn’t seem excited at all. She cried and is refusing to speak to us right now. The oldest... well, she just ignored the situation all together. She never wanted siblings and has always been irritated by her sisters. She is very independent and I think she’s worried that she’ll have to take care of the baby, despite us telling her that isn’t true. I don’t know. I just feel like I’ve completely failed as a parent. Has anyone else gone through something like this? I’m feeling so lost.
