How long after losing your mucus plug did you go into labor with baby #2+?

With my first daughter I lost my plug and she dropped at around 37-38 weeks but didn't have her until 39 1/2 weeks. I was told with subsequent pregnancies you don't drop until you go into labor so I'm wondering if the same is true for a mucus plug.

I've been having predominal labor contractions for a month now and last night I'm pretty sure I lost my plug. I got up in the middle of the night to pee and felt something slip out and plop into the toilet. I didn't investigate as I was super sleepy but I'm pretty sure it was my plug. My doctor hasn't checked for dilation yet. I'm 38 weeks and 2 days.

Also have had more energy yesterday and today and feel very at peace with the baby coming, whereas a couple days ago it gave me anxiety.
