Bad cramps at 4 weeks?

Hi! I’m 12 DPO and found out yesterday that I’m pregnant. My first symptom was really bad cramping on 9/10 DPO. The cramping is getting more frequent and worse. I’ve had several kidney stones and the pain is reminding me of that. I feel sharp pain on my left side. Sometimes it’s just mild cramping. I’m so worried it’s an ectopic pregnancy. Could someone help put my mind at ease? I’m hoping it’s just a kidney stone. My doctor’s office said bad cramping can be normal in early pregnancies. This is my first so I’m very clueless. Has anyone else had this and had a healthy pregnancy?

I have had some bad cramps with this pregnancy and I'm almost 11 weeks now but I did also have an ectopic pregnancy last yr and the cramps were only on my right side but if you have had kidney stones before and it kinda feels like that that's all it may be if your dr doesnt want to check you you could always go to the er and tell them about the pain and whatever you do don't let anyone tell you that if you arent bleeding it cant be ectopic bc I didnt bleed but try not to stress out too much bc cramps are definitely normal especially in early pregnancy just make sure you stay hydrated and if you need to rest then do it good luck hunnie and congrats

Have you called your doc yet to let them know you're pregnant? Definitely call and tell them that you're having pains. They will tell you if you should be worried or not. :) good luck!
