When will period come??

We miscarried shortly after seeing the heartbeat. I ended up having a D&C on 9/6 with hardly any bleeding at all afterwards and still no sign of my period. How long should I expect to wait? Is this normal?

5 weeks seems normal for a lot of people.

Thank you for posting this. I had a D&C 2.5 weeks ago and I think I am ovulating but not sure. Can't wait to get my period... My OB is having me come back in 3 weeks (5.5 weeks from D&C) to see if I started my period and to take blood work to see if hcg is down.

I’m 12 weeks past my D&C and had to get prescribed Provera to jumpstart my period. Hopefully it’ll come in the next week or so.

I m/c at 10 weeks on 6/22.. had d&c two days later with minimal bleeding for the first few days.. then it picked up and finally stopped at about 2 weeks post-op. I got my period almost exactly a month after my d&c. The first one was weird with spotting in between. On my second what I’d consider “normal” period and based on OPKs have ovulated my last two cycles (I didn’t test before then so I’m not sure if I started ovulating sooner).

4-6 weeks is the average time it takes. Mine took almost 10 weeks after my d&c and I didn’t ovulate until after I got the period

My dr told me if I didn’t start my period a couple weeks after the bleeding from the miscarriage stopped that she would start me on a pill that would pretty much “restart” everything. But I ended up having one on my own around 2 weeks after the bleeding stopped. I’d call and ask your dr.

I just got my period back 5-6 weeks later. I was told it could take up to 12 weeks though.
