What should I do

UPDATE: yesterday I stopped by the apartment where he is living hoping he was going to be gone and the apartment would be unlocked so I could see my kitten . He was about to leave I saw him and started walking to the apartment to see her . He called me over to him and asked if I wanted to talk . I said yes for a minute cuz we shouldn’t be talking until this is dropped . We had a long talk and he said he has been taking anger management classes and that he was been really calm lately . He said he was glad I called he cops it gave him time to think about the way he treated me . He said if I give him another shot that we should start off slow and not live together again until we have fixed ourselves and the relationship. I totally agree. We are going to be taking classes together to help our relationship. I told my dad what my plan is and he just be careful I want u to be safe . I told my fiancé (yes we are still together) that he gets one last chance and if anything happens he will be dropped and will not ever be able to contact me again . He said he understands . He told me he has been reading his bible everyday and praying . He said that he will not ever move on and that I’m the one he is supposed to marry . I told him that he needs to prove it to me and my family and he asked how to do it and I told him just prove you can be a better guy . And that u will not ever ever ever lay another hand on me again and he said he swears on his life he will not do it ever again . I told him if he does all hell will break lose and he will be in jail again . He said he understands

So long story short my fiancé slapped me so I got mad called the police and he got arrested . He spent two nights in jail . There has been a danko set in place due to him admitting he hit me . I kinda broke that last night and seen him for ten mins as I brought the cat to him . He told me until this is removed I cannot show up because if he gets caught he could serve 5 years . There is to be no contact whatsoever whether it be him texting me or me texting him and he responds (I can text him he just can’t respond) 3rd party contact and hand gestures. People say I’m crazy to lift it and give him a second chance . He isn’t the only one guilty, I’m guilty as well. People are saying he won’t change and others are saying give him another chance . It’s hard to forget about someone after you have been with them for almost a year . There will be guidelines put up so this never happens again . He has got one last Chance and if he screws it up then I am really done
