Time to say goodbye to rock n play

My baby is 4 months and I know it’s time to transition out. He has slept in it since birth and doesn’t take naps unless being held or worn ( if he’s laid down it’s 5min or less). Any ideas on how to transition him to a flat bed. Also would you recommend a pack n play or something similar to transition to? I am EBF so I want to keep him in the room with me and husband until he’s about 1.
