Feeling really proud of antenatal hand expressing

Didn't know where else to post this but I'm weirdly excited and proud 😂

I am being treated at a hospital who have different diagnostic figures to the rest of the world and I've was "diagnosed" with gestational diabetes 2weeks ago after hbac1 result of 42 (GD is diagnosed at 48) Since then I've been diet controlled (managing fine), put on Metformin (to slow baby growth) and on Thursday was told they are inducing me on 23rd October so I can start hand expressing colostrum to store and give the baby as extra at birth to help his sugar levels.. Last night I tried for the first time and I got a tiny amount but was so proud. This morning I've tried again (can do it multiple times a day and at the end of 24hrs freeze what you collect) and I have managed to harvest a much better amount than before. I think it's really helping me understand the feeding action of the baby as expressing has nothing to do with the nipple at all, that's just where it all collects.. It's fascinating and I hope it helps my baby latch when born that I know how to express.
