Did you lose your mucus plug or have your bloody show before having contractions?

Question

I was curious on how many of you women had lost your mucus plug or had your blood show before labor started? 
I am almost at 40 weeks with no loss of my mucus plug and no bloody show.... so it makes me wonder if I can still go into labor without either of those symptoms before hand.

Never lost my plug or anything with my daughter my water just up and broke one night.

I didn’t until I was in the hospital in full-blown labor.

I did with my first. I lost the mucus plug and went into labor.. I think 2 days later. I cant remember.

I had bloody show a week before his arrival.

For me, I lost my mucus plug then a couple hours later I was in active labour.

I started having contractions at 10am and lost my mucous plug and had my bloody show about two hours later. But my total labor was only about 7 hours, first baby so it may not go that fast for others.

I lost mine exactly one week before I went into labor.

I lost my mucus plug at about 37 weeks and didn’t go into labor until 40+2 weeks.

With my first I didn't even know I had lost my mucus plug till my 36 week appt and contractions started a couple days later and I had him at 38 weeks. My second I was losing my plug for about a month before my water broke the day I hit 36 weeks and 12 hours later gave birth
