Progesterone Level, 1st Trimester

Kendra
So...I am 5w4d...EDD 4/3/16....1 previous miscarriage 1/2015 without explanation....I also have PCOS...my concern is low progesterone. I asked to have my HCG and progesterone level checked, and @ 5w2d...HCG was 2253, progesterone was 10.8. According to my Dr office...they told me normal progesterone level was 8.8-44 for the 1st trimester...and like 12-78 for 2nd trimester....so...according to their scale, I'm within normal limits...Just low side. So, they told me since I wasn't having any bleeding, spotting, or abdominal pain, and was technically in normal limits...they weren't going to start me on progesterone supplement. But, my concern is with my Dx of PCOS, and Hx miscarriage. ..why would they not just start me on it as precautionary measure? I even asked, what the risks of taking progesterone were...and she couldn't tell me any. So, I think the benefit of me taking it, even if it only have me some peace of mind, to help keep me from stressing, would be worth it? My husband is doing his best to comfort me..and tell me my level is technically normal...Heck, I would've thought they'd told me to come back in a week to recheck or something...to make sure it wasn't dropping to low. And not even that. She said the only reason they checked it this time is because I asked...Just Frustrated more than anything I guess...which I'm sure stems from worry...Anybody else have anything similar? ***Update *** Ok, honestly not the response I was hoping for... but better than nothing! She had me come in today ( which would be a week since last lab) and recheck an HCG and progesterone. And depending on what that shows, possibly schedule me for an Ultrasound? Nurse didn't explain why? I'm guessing to try to see if everything looks ok, and then depending on what that shows how we proceed? Praying for an increase in progesterone! Prob TMI, LOL, but my boobs are so sore it feels like they might fall smooth off...which I know is a good sign...so...now I wait some more...
