Losing massive weight advice

Hey, I am working on losing massive amounts of weight (120lbs) but I also suffer from binging disorder. For all of you who started morbidly obese & reached a healthy weight, what helped you?

I'm starting with going to the gym & doing a routine to build muscle to help with losing actual fat. I am also focusing on drinking enough water

I am broke so cannot afford all kinds of meat & veggies (I usually eat at work for free

- I work at a pizza place) or when I'm home I have cheap things like pasta that I add some frozen veggies to, or meat to help both stretch farther.
