When you trigger how do you count the days past ovulation?

This has always confused me with my iui cycles. When you take a trigger shot how do you know how many days past ovulation you are? Because 12-36 hours trigger shot will work we don’t know exactly when are body releases the eggs. Need some answers and opinions. If I triggered Wednesday evening at 7 by Friday should be ovulation or would it be Thursday?!

Answer

I was just did days past trigger instead of days past ovulation. It was just easier that way. That and since it causes false positives on hpts you still need to go by dpt when testing so you know it’s not a false positive.
