Can I stop taking placebo pills and start active pills even though my period is 3 days away?

This is my off week with the BC pills (period week) but I have an event coming up and I get bad migraines and it would be a hassle to have my period at the time. Since it’s 3 days away can I just start taking the active pills tomorrow and is it safe? If anyone’s had this happen to the please help!!!
