Should I be gaining weight yet?
Here's a little background, I'm approaching 17 weeks in my first pregnancy, and I haven't gained any weight yet! I'm 5'1, and started off at 130 lbs, which was a pretty healthy pre-pregnancy weight for me, but I'm still at 130 now. Usually I don't have any problem gaining weight, so I thought I'd have to work at not gaining too fast.
I haven't had severe morning sickness. I hardly throw up, I have a normal appetite, and I feel like I'm eating a ton! I even have a bigger belly than I thought I'd have at this point, and I have no idea where my body is getting all of it.
I guess my point is, should I be worrying about this? Or is it no big deal, and my body knows what to do? I can go to a doctor if I really need to, but I don't have insurance yet, and I'm not planning on an appointment until at least 20 weeks, but probably a bit later than that (we are in the midst of moving and don't have jobs or housing in the new city yet).
