Thanks for all the support ladies, but I'm now done. I gave it a solid 6 weeks (like many of you suggested) and breastfeeding got steadily worse. From seeing 3 lactation consultants, him having a tounge tie that doctors won't fix, having two inverted nipples that won't come out, and a nipple shield that makes my little one scream and cry at each feeding, I am done. I've taken the time to mourn not being able to breastfeed, and am now coming to grips with exclusively pumping since my supply is great. I just wanted to breastfeed my baby SO badly, but that's not the way life worked for me. Any positive thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated as I am feeling a bit defeated.
