Anyone experience this before?

Question

So i took a test and it came out negative (10 dpo) but i was at work all day and took the test in the afternoon so it’s not morning urine.  And I drank a lot of fluids while I was at work and when I peed in a cup I had very little pee that I had to tilt the test to get more on the stick, I don’t know if this can affect the result to be negative , has this happened to anyone before? And then got a BFP a day or two later ?

Testing in the afternoon before your period is due, alongside drinking a lot through the day absolutely can have an effect on the test result.
Before your period due day you should only use first morning pee as it's more concentrated. Hcg levels are typically quite low at first and easily diluted out of your pee - so an afternoon test is actually quite likely to bring back a negative
