Should he wear a condom?

(Yes I know this is a stupid question but I honestly need advice so if you’re going to be mean please just leave)

I’ve never given a handjob or a blowjob before. My bf and I were talking, and he wants me to do both, and I told him I’d like to. Does he need to wear a condom when we do either of those things?

This might seem obvious but I really don’t know and I’m worried about getting an std. Thanks :)
