Weird Period Clot

Sorry, kind of gross! I started the Nuva Ring in March, and my husband and I also use condoms. This has never happened to me before. I just started my period the other day, and have had regular cramps and bleeding (both of which had been reduced thanks to the Nuva Ring). However, yesterday, on the second day of my period, a large and skin-like clot? came out of me. If it happens again I plan to see my ob/gyn, and have googled it some, but would really feel more comfortable with some opinions from other women. Thanks!
