Any advice?

So my boyfriend is vey different he is not annny kind of guy and he loves me in his way and i love him too with all my heart we’ve been dating for like two years but there are some things that I am very confused about because I’m not really sure that he feels what he says for example I ask him "would you die for me? (obviously joking) and he just says no and now I was going to help him with something and he got mad and told me to mind my own business but the thing is that I love him more than anything.
