Solids, how often?

Question

My baby is 6 months so I’m starting him on solids, I’m just wondering how much should I feed him a day? Once or twice? When does it turn into three times a day?

When starting on solids I think it’s best to start slowly as baby’s system isn’t used to foods.  
Imagine a vegetarian eating meat for the first time - they get sick if they eat too much of it right away. 
You’ve got all the way until 12 months before solids should be their main source of nutrition.  So there’s no exact science on how often you should give solids but we did it just a couple spoonfuls a day at first and gradually went up from there to one meal a day and so on.

I started with once a day, usually in the middle of the day. Then when I noticed he’d be more hungry switched to twice a day, then so on until they are eating 3 meals a day. As he got older I stopped the bottles in between & switched them to snacks. Now just figuring out how to drop the bottle at bed/nap time which is not working 😂
