Hollow needle?

Question

If I got pierced with a hollow needle will the piercing close if I take out jewelry for say a few days, couple weeks, months etc
Say industrial or septum or whatever piercings

Don’t take my word for it but I don’t think it would make a difference? I wouldn’t take a cartilage piercing out because it will grow over in a few hours and be very hard to put back in. Just my 2 cents but you should ask someone who does those types of piercings in case.

Yeah it will close within a few hours if that. I’ve had my helixes pierced for over 2 years now and if I take them out even for a few minutes to change them I have trouble putting them back in. Cartilage piercings close very fast

No matter what you get pierced with, which I can only hope it's a hollow needle, if the piercing is new or in certain areas, yes, it will close up if you leave the jewelry out for even few hours sometimes. In most areas, if you've had the piercing for many years you can usually leave the jewelry out for a few days and it will be fine.

Depends on the piercing and the person. I left my septum and lip out for years. And just recently put rings back in them. But other people can start closing right away. My eyebrow and my tongue closed within a couple days.

If the piercing is healed, it won’t close up right away. I can leave my tongue piercing, septum or lip out for a few days without any issues. I’ve had them all for years and they’re totally healed. After a week or so they get harder to push back through. If you leave them out for months/years they will close up. 
If the piercing is fresh/not healed it will close up way faster.
