Is it normal to take breaks in relationships?

My baby and I are taking a break. It’s our first break and idk I feel like relationships should work things out no matter what. Unless there’s abuse or infidelity involved. Overall I just want to know if it’s normal ☹️

I don’t think it is. Breaks are pretty messy. 9/10 the one persons way to leave without actually leaving so they don’t hurt your feelings. Or it’s an excuse for them to do whatever they want and then come back to you later.

Taking a break is pointless to me. It doesn’t resolve the problem so when the break is over there, the problem is still there.

To me if it's worth taking a break over it's worth breaking up over. Healthy relationships don't actually take breaks.

How old are you guys? I did that in my teenager days out of immaturity but not in my serious relationships, they just cause more problems

Im 35, ive never took a break in a relationship unless I was done with it... taking breaks is not normal at all, if you can’t work though Any problems there isnt a relationship in my opinion
