Nervousness before gender scan?

Anyone else feel really anxious before their gender scan? I’m afraid to find out and feel a certain way. I will love my baby more than anything in the world but I’m so scared I could have even a split second of disappointment... I never want to feel that way!

Exactly what previous poster said.  It's ok to feel disappointment.  I did with both of my pregnancies. Both times it didn't take too long for it to go away.  Longer the 2nd time since it was our 2nd boy and last baby. Either way you will love baby no matter what, especially when you see it's cute little face.

When I did my gender scan we did not find out until we got home so we could open the envelope with family. It was almost time to open the envelope and I started crying hysterically. I cried for probably 30 minutes because I was afraid to be disappointed. In the end I finally opened the envelope and it was a boy. We were hoping for a girl and I did have that brief moment of disappointment but later that night I cried tears of joy as I thought about his future and who he was going to be! Point is, either way, it’s all going to be okay! Don’t be afraid to feel however you need to feel! In the end it will all be okay :)

I was extremely nervous to find out the gender. So nervous in fact, we didnt have a gender reveal party because I didnt want to have a horrible first reaction.  Not sure what I was afraid of though, I would have been happy with either a boy or girl. It's just the finding out part that is such a shock!
