Suggestions and help!!

Hi ladies! I am 25 and my fiancé is 34 we have been together for 5 years almost 6. I made my first infertility appointment for the end of August. The other day I just had this instinct that told me to make an appointment we have been ttc for a little over 3 years and absolutely nothing :( the first time I went to a gyno he told me that I probably have pcos due to the fact the I have NEVER been on birth control and I have my period every three months. Some times my cycles are 9 days sometimes they are a month or longer very heavy I go through a super tampon in about an hr... And my fiancé and I have had unprotected sex since day one. Well here's the dilemma I really was to go on clomid... I have read mixed reviews on it and how can I approach my doctor with this? Any thoughts I'm getting really discouraged .... Ty 😊
