I finally get to share my Birth story!!!

(LONG) First time mom!!!! May 10th I woke up around 4AM with contractions.....which I had been having on and off all week long. I was 39wk 2days pregnant. I texted my husband and told him today is the day!!!! (Nurse on night shift) I just knew our little girl was making her appearance today. I decided to hop in the bath and started timing my contractions. They were about 4-5min apart until about 6AM and then they were about 2-3min apart. By this point I was getting a little impatient waiting on hubby to get home from work. He finally arrived around 8AM. He quickly showered and then we were off to the hospital!! When we arrived I was already dilated to 3.5cm (9AM). A new nurse blew two of my veins trying to get an IV in me (honestly the worst part of my day lol) Finally got my IV put in and then we were sent upstairs to the labor and delivery suite. Got the epidural at 12:30 (NO SHAME) I didn’t even feel the needle my contractions were so intense. I felt amazing after I got my epidural. I could only slightly feel my contractions. I was dilated to 5cm at 3. Dilated to 10cm at 5:45. 2 CONTRACTIONS later and out popped Miss Drew Madeline Munk!! Weighing in at 8lbs 4oz. She is almost 6 mo old now and we are so in love with her!
