Anyone get a five week ultrasound?

I have my first appointment on Friday at 5w2d and even tho I’m pretty sure they’re not going to give me an ultrasound, I’m hoping that maybe they do. I know there’s not much to see but still haha. For anyone who had a 5 week ultrasound, did you see a heartbeat or is it too soon? Does anyone have a picture? I know to face the reality that I probably won’t get an ultrasound until 8 weeks or later but hey a pregnant lady can hope! 😂

At 5 weeks theres only a sac if that. Heartbeat appears between 6 and 7 weeks

Too soon for a heartbeat, but if they do an ultrasound, you should be able to see the gestational sac and yolk sac at least.

Yea it’s probably too soon to see anything, they could worry you if they say they don’t see anything if being so early! 🤔🤔

I just went for my 1st visit at 5 w 3 d.  No ultrasound.  But physical, blood work and answering of any questions.  They want to see me again in two weeks for the first ultrasound. That’s the soonest they’ll be able to hear a heartbeat 💗

This was 5w2d. Just the gestational sac - between 6-7 mm. You don’t typically see a yolk sac until it’s between 8-10 mm. So don’t be upset if you only see the gestational sac. It’s very early!

They will probably have you take a pee test there and then give you a slip for blood work. I’ll have my first scan at 7 weeks!

I had my first at 6w1d. Doc was able to get CRL measurement and I saw the heartbeat flicker - 119 bpm. Next scan is scheduled for 8 weeks.

Where I’m originally from you get an ultrasound at your first appt no matter how far along you are. They get you in as soon as possible. 
Now I live in VA and have Tricare, and I won’t get an ultrasound until 11-12 weeks.

We had one at 4 weeks 6 days and just saw a gestational sack, it was too early for anything else
