3 days pp. Engorged boobs already???

Help!! It has been years(7 to be exact) and I just had another baby 3 days ago. My breast are so full. I am feeding my daughter every 3 hours. But today they swole up and wondering do I pump to help or just feed her. Shes eating 15-20 min per boob. Started at 10 min. Please any help is appreciated😁😗

If it's really uncomfortable, pump just enough to ease it. You don't want to pump more because it will make the issue worse. A hot shower will also cause your breasts to naturally release some.

If you’re only 3 days PP, you’re engorged because your milk is coming in. It’s not colostrum anymore. I had the same problem. Feed as often as you can. Offer the breast even if baby is not rooting or crying. It’ll help your milk come in faster and your breast will feel better!

In the beginning some women really overproduce until they figure out what she needs. It was like that for me for a month and then just vanished. I thought it meant something was wrong with my supply But my body had just figured out she didn’t need that much. Express the painful overflow away if you need to but it should pass!

I had the same with my breasts, had to pump enough just to relieve the pain.
