Am I overreacting orrrr???

This morning I took a video of the baby moving and I posted it on my Snapchat story. My boyfriends mom snap chatted me and said “omg I love him so much already and save this and send it to me.” She always has to have the videos I take, or always screenshotting my bump pictures and I just get really irritated with it. Like I seriously cannot even stand at the stove and make my plate for dinner without her taking my fucking picture. And then, I got my maternity pictures taken and she saved them to her phone, re edited them and posted them before I even had the chance to.. I feel like she thinks SHES the mom of MY child that isn’t even here yet. She told me if she doesn’t get to be in the delivery room SHE WILL RAISE HELL. I also told her and my mom I wanted them to throw my baby shower together and she got mad and told me she wasn’t doing it because she wanted her own with her own people there and she’s invited so many people I don’t even know. Like I’m sorry but I don’t feel comfortable getting gifts from people I have no idea who they are.

Saying that she will raise hell if she’s not in the delivery room is a major red flag. Set boundaries and enforce them NOW or there will be huge problems later.

Quite frankly she sounds like one of those mothers who will shrug off what your partner says to her. If you don't want her in the delivery room make that very clear and when she threatens you with raising hell u tell her she does not want to go causing trouble with u while your in labour or you'll make sure she isn't there to see your child after the birth! All you have to do is let the nurses know you don't want her in visiting. Also with the baby shower, just don't attend make plans for that day go out get lunch whatever, do not let her try and take your special time away from you this is your pregnancy!

Oh hell no put your foot down or tell your big put his foot down. It may be his mom but if you don’t want her in the delivery room then she shouldn’t try to raise hell. Also if I were you I just wouldn’t show up at the baby shower.

My MIL did this with the picture stuff - not the rest. Drives me nuts! I only post social media where she can't see it now. On FB I only post to an album selected people can see and I stopped posting pics on Instagram. Removing that has improved my mood significantly.
