Medical advice please

I have an inguinal hernia & i just scheduled to be put under general anesthesia for hernia repair surgery on Nov.20th. I also just finished taking my last of 5 Clomid pills so I’m scheduled to ovulate around Nov.2nd—thus, a small a possibility of getting pregnant (I’ll be turning 40 in a few months, never been pregnant). I do not want to have a bulging hernia and be 6-9 months pregnant so decided to take care of it now. If I’m 10-14 days pregnant, is it ok to have the surgery? My sister works in a hospital and asked & was told yes, it’s fine, but I’d like to double check with you all for reassurance 😊
