Can I request a c section?

Question

I have high blood pressure and I’m an epileptic.  Even though I’m on medication, stress and/or excitement triggers my seizures.  When I am seizing my bp always spikes near 200/180 at most.  
I had a craniotomy 1 year ago to remove a brain tumor so my seizures have been reduced to about one a month.  (Use to have them around 20 times a week! ) 
I’m curious if I can request a c section because of these issues.  
Anyone else with similar issues have a c section?

Answer

You doctor should know your medical history. If they thought it was necessary a c section would be offered. If they haven’t brought it up chances are there is a reason for that. My understanding is they don’t like to do c sections when you have high blood pressure because there is a higher risk of hemorrhage, bleeding out and death.

Due to health reason you should be able to request it as long as they dont think a c section would mess with your blood pressure
