When did you deliver your twins?!

Question

Currently 26 weeks and counting down the days until the babies are here. My body is struggling to handle the twins and trying to chase a 17 month old boy! My goal is 35 weeks- which will be Christmas. I am SO nervous if I will make it that far as each day it becomes more difficult to care for my toddler and to work. The babies are happy and healthy and are measuring 2 weeks ahead. Mama is the one struggling! When did you deliver your twins?! Did your water break? Induced? Give me the details!

My water broke at 34 weeks. I had a csection because we knew B was small so already planned on that. I wish I would have made it another week or two... I’ve cried several times today being discharged and babies are in NICU for couple more weeks. So hard everyday hearing about their feeding and temperature issues being premies. I was antsy for them to come but would never wish this for anyone so keep the cooking into January!!!!

It does get hard in the third trimester. But you want them to stay in there as long as possible! I had mine last month at 37+4, and we avoided any NICU time which was great. Any earlier and I think we would’ve needed special care for my smaller twin. What type of twins are you having? If it’s di/di I think you have a pretty good chance of going beyond 35 weeks.

I’m 37 weeks & 4 days and scheduled for a c section Thursday. I’ll be 38 weeks and 3 days by then. I feel your pain, I am still working and it is brutal! Although, I am not chasing around a toddler either!! Best of luck mama!!
