I went in for a normal Dr's appointment and was sent straight to the hospital for more testing and observation and was diagnosed with gestational hypertension. My BP was 156/90

My dr decided that keeping him cooking would do more harm then good and decided to induce me

I had been 1 cm for 4 weeks now, so cervidil was started just before 530

I started having back to back contractions so an epidural was requested around 930 and I was checked, I was almost 5 cm and the cervidil was removed

An hour later the epidural was in and I felt a ton of pain and pressure, so the dr checked me again and I was at a 10! The anesthesiologist gave me extra pain meds through my epidural and the nurses called my dr and got everything ready while I rested and let the meds kick in.

At 11:04 pm Parker arrived, sunny side up and a little blue, but crying. Weighing 7lbs 8 oz and 20 inches long.

I'm so in love!

Crazy to think i almost went all natural! My dr couldn't believe how fast he came.
