I’m currently pregnant (28+6) and i’ve not consented to any internal exams with my pregnancy. I’ve dealt with sexual assault and its something that sends me into intense panic. I’ve talked to my doctor and they agreed that it isn’t worth it to go through the psychological pain for an exam, and I’m even allowed to do my own strep B swab.

A lot of women I know think i’m insane or that i’m going to hurt my baby by denying exams, but i don’t feel like i am.

Anyone else deny exams and have any problems that i should look out for?

(Also any advice on how to limit exams during labor safely would be nice)
