To overweight to conceive?? 😞

I feel like I’m to overweight to conceive. I weigh about 189lbs. I want to lose weight and I actually love the gym I just have a hard time with will power and self control annnyywwwhhhoooo am I too overweight? Or am I just overthinking it? Please help....

I’m 245. I got pregnant it took years but it still happened. If you want to loose weight it might help but some people can get pregnant even if there 150, 205, 300+ pounds.

I thought the same thing and kept putting off going to the doctor since I kept saying I’d actually try once I lost weight. We were not trying but not preventing. Then it ended up taking me five years for my first because I didn’t know I had a hormone imbalance. If you want kids don’t let it get in the way. Just do your best while you are trying to conceive and while you are pregnant. I’m 240lbs and have stayed the same even though I’m 23 weeks pregnant because I’m working out (water aerobics, nothing crazy) and just doing my best for me and my baby.

Yes and no. For some people it works but for some like me you need to lose weight to conceive. It could be causing underlying health issues that could lead directly into TTC and being over your BMI can cause a change in hormones. So I would lose the weight if you could. I got pregnant at 150 lbs and at 135 lbs from being 200-180 range my whole life. Only ever been pregnant when my weight was down.

I’m 250lb 😬🙈 and pregnant so I might just be lucky but you don’t sound too overweight at all. I was on the keto diet the month I fell pregnant 🤰 I’m sure that helped as I’ve read a lot of women get pregnant while on keto, it’s apparently great for fertility x

I was 189 with my first pregnancy and 192 with this one.  My sister was a little over 200 for both of hers.  Is that an idea weight? No, BUT it’s not a definite no.  Working out of definitely something I wish I had done more of so do try that but know you aren’t out based on your weight.

I was 220 when I got pregnant with this one. I’m down below 200 now at 16 weeks(partly due to nausea, partly due to my change in diet from awhile ago, I was 240 in January)
