So I'm 14 and I have a huge crush on a guy from school. Like, whenever I think about him my heart rate goes double speed and I can never get him off my mind. I get really pissed off and in a grump for the whole day if he's not at school and I can't help it. I know this sounds really stupid and kind of petty and stuff, but I was wondering if I could be sort of in love or something?

Your feelings are that of a teenager who is just getting introduced to the idea of being attracted to someone. I wouldn’t necessarily call it love but rather a fondness and awareness brought on by your attraction. However that does NOT mean that you can’t be in love with a person from high school on. It just means it is unlikely. 
Please kiddo talk to your doctor about obtaining birth control and protection for yourself. Being that you are just starting out in this crazy world where you are learning about yourself, feelings and the responses both emotional and physical that are brought about by another it is in your best interest to assume that you must be responsible for your own safety And health. While you are on this site and I assume are openly talked to regarding your body and health he may not have the same type of boundaries within his home. Nothing is worse than children not being given the opportunity to understand the importance of protection and communications.
