Thank you notes for coworkers?

Had a joint baby shower at work celebrating me and two other mommies to be. Got some good stuff from most of my coworkers, nothing too expensive as they were buying for three of us! Wondering if I will need to do hand written thank you notes or if an email will suffice?

Hand written cards for each person, or you could do a gift basket for the break room (like muffins or something) and a hand written card addressed to the office. Skip the email.

I always do handwritten because nobody does it anymore, its thoughtful. Plus if they spent $10 for example,  would you take $10 to spend 3 minutes writing something? Yaaas!

Definitely handwritten thank yous for those that got you a gift. When my coworkers threw me a surprise bridal shower I sent a group thank you email  to everyone that came but also wrote thank you cards for those that gave me a gift.
