Spotting, no period, BFN

I’ve been on birth control, specifically the Nuvaring for about a year and a half. I was also on it prior to having my son 2.5 years ago. Before I got pregnant with my son, i had four normal cycles, and then two months of nothing. My doctor prescribed me progesterone, induced my cycle and I got pregnant after 7 months of trying.

My husband and I decided we are ready for number 2. I came off of the nuvaring mid September, mid cycle, and got my period three days later. According to Glow and another app I should have gotten my period this past week but it never came. I did have three days of brown spotting (it’s gone today) and numerous other symptoms that made me question pregnancy but I just keep taking negative tests.

I was diagnosed with PCOS 11 years ago so I know it will never be that easy. But I thought maybe we could ‘catch’ the egg before my cycle stops again. Has anyone experienced something like this before?
