Flu shot in first trimester?

I keep getting conflicting advice on whether the flu shot is safe during the first trimester. Did your doctors tell you either way?

My OB said after 13 weeks just because there’s important development in the first trimester, but she said get it if I want. I work in a hospital, so I’m exposed to the flu all day! She said safer to get the vaccine earlier than later.

My midwife told me she was comfortable with me getting it in the first trimester, but she added that if I wanted to wait until the second for my own peace of mind that was cool too. My job’s deadline for getting the shot is this week so I’m getting it tomorrow at 10w2d.

Our province gives it out to pregnant woman in 2nd and 3rd trimester. Last year i had it at 29w and now ill be 15w this year

My doctors never once pushed the flu shot on me with my first child nor have they the second time around.

My doctor told me to get it so I just had mine on Friday- I was 9 weeks 5 days at the time. I haven’t had any side effects at all - also I got one with my last pregnancy and baby was fine too.
