Pregnancy weight gain?

Hi ladies so I have gained 50lb during this pregnancy, a lot I KNOW. Gone up 3 dress sizes 😪I was just wondering how much weight once I have my baby will I loose after Birth within the couple of weeks? I'm devastated I've put on so much. Own fault, just wanna be prepared for what I will need to loose. I'm planning on breastfeeding so I know this will help. TIA ❤️💖

I gained almost 50 pounds and lost all but 7 within 6 weeks. I though though I’d lose more breastfeeding and such and ended up gaining so be careful just because your bf baby doesn’t mean you can’t gain. But honestly I’m sure your lose most of it after you give birth.

I gained 20kgs, lost 10kgs through birth alone & lost then other 10kgs over 8 weeks thanks to breastfeeding.
If breastfeeding isn’t an option for you then you should be able to loose it with controlling your diet & going for a walk each day

I gained 53/54 with my first two. With the first one I had a lot of water weight and lost 28lbs in a week. It was slow after that. The second one was slower and I never got back to pregnancy weight. I was heavier when i got pregnant with #3 but only gained 33lbs. I lost 18lbs the first week and managed to gain back half of it. I BF all three kids but couldn’t make milk with the last one. I attribute this to why I had so much trouble gaining the weight back. Sooo...I was about 10lbs lighter than when I delivered, got pregnant 6 months pp (whoops) and am terrified of the weight I’ll be at this time. However, I’m done after this and I will lose all of that weight and be happy with myself. Everyone loses weight differently, just because you’re BF doesn’t mean you’ll lose (it’s actually common to gain weight while BF-no one tells you that), watch your food intake because BF can make you hungry! Your weight loss can’t be gauged by other people’s experience because they aren’t you. You CAN lose the weight with effort.

I gained 25lbs during pregnancy. Lost 15lbs within the first 2 weeks postpartum (5.75lb baby). Now at 3.5 months postpartum I still have those same 10lbs left to lose 😂

Just had my baby today and I was literally all baby and water my stomach is partially flat, usually goes back to normal within 2-3 weeks after I have a baby

I gained 26lbs with my second, who was born on January 31st of this year. Immediately after birth, I lost 10 lbs. then another 3. and that was it😭 so only half of what i had gained.
then i got pregnant again at 6 months pp and lost the rest of the weight I had gained due to food aversions.
I'm one of those breastfeeding women that actually hold on to the weight rather than dropping it. happened with my first as well. (gained 30 lbs and had a stubborn 10 stick around until i was done breastfeeding. then it dropped off instantly.)

I gained 60 pounds. I started at 107 and gained to 167. After pregnancy, within 2 weeks time I was down to 147. In 2 months pp and I’m 141. I’m kinda stuck where I’m at right now and working to get back to at least 115 ( I’m only 5 foot). Everyone’s different! Stay positive and don’t focus on how everyone else looks compared to yourself!  ❤️

I gained 55lbs with my son, and within 6 months, I was 10 lbs less than my pre pregnancy weight! I had so much water weight it wasn’t even funny! I breastfed and pumped like crazy though. You can do it! Good luck!

You're only supposed to gain about 25 pounds during a pregnancy which is all baby. So it's very common for women to lose about 15-25 pounds in that first week or two (once baby's out, that added weight from supporting them naturally just goes with them). From there, it's just excess fat you gained. I gained 20 pounds during my pregnancy and lost all of it within 5 days or so.

I gained about 50. I had my baby 10 days ago and dropped 30 pounds since giving birth. Most of your weight might just be fluid.
