What do you do to help earth?

I'm hoping to meet more people like me I'm 28 a mom of 3 boys and I'm trying to change my ways in hopes that they will continue with what they learn. I believe in God but more spiritual as I don't agree with a lot of religions. I feel a better  connection now then I did as a child with earth and God. I try to water as much as I can because I know the plants must be hungry I even started buy water bottles to give the earth back what has been taken for them as I think they need it more I'm okay with tap water. I just bought reusable bags so no more plastic I also cut out  drier use and use a line now. I guess my question is, is there anyone here like me? What do you do to try and help the earth?

Plus I collect rain water, I suggest this for your plants. Try Craigslist for cheap food grade water barrels, can be fun for the whole family.

I'm hopefully going to be going off grid in the next two years but for now I try the motto "reduce, reuse, recycle" I'm always coming up with new ways to re-purpose items. Also, now that I'm vegetarian there's not really any packaging that needs to be thrown away and you can compost pretty much all waste. You can also switch faucets to low flow for cheap using Amazon. So much to do that enables us to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

I'd like to do more for the earth - but I'm in the middle of a city in an apartment. I've thought about getting resusable bags for griceries, but we use grocery bags as trash bags .__. So if I got reusable grocery bags, then we'd need to buy trash bags and that just doesn't seem environmentally productive for the earth or my wallet.

We recycle pop bottles and glass bottles though. At this point that seems like all we can do.

I haven't looked in to it, but I heard that even planting a tree requires a permit if it isn't on your property <.<; idk. With how screwed up our government is, I believe it.

I don't believe what one person does is the answer. I do try to be good though. Like I don't buy stuff like Styrofoam party supplies.. I recycle. Stuff like that. 
I don't buy bottled water for plants though.. If I drink tap water so does my yard and plants.
