Has anyone been doing research on how they want to deliver?

If so how and why? I’m currently looking into water birth my first child I had a epidural 6yrs ago.

Planning a home birth as well. Not sure if I want a tub yet or not. I wanted to do it with my first and second but my first was an emergency section and born a preemie. With that being said, with my second I chose to labor at a hospital in case anything went wrong. Well he was a successful vbac and there's nothing holding me back this time. I want to do it because its less expensive, its more "me" and what I want to do for MY birth, if there's a problem there's a hospital literally a 30 second drive from my house, and there's less fetal and maternal death rates when delivered at home, less or no unneccessary interventions. Its over all something I want to experience that I haven't yet.

Planning a ‘natural’ birth, no epidural, in a in-hospital birthing center that has tubs for laboring— but they don’t allow water births. I’m alright with it though. It’s important to me that I am not pressured to receive drugs and they simply don’t offer epidurals in the birthing center because they need increased monitoring, so problem solved 👍🏻

Hoping and planning for an unmedicated, intervention-free birth in hospital. Had the epidural with my first and I’m not going near that stuff again. Using a highly respected doula, switching to a natural-friendly midwife a song as my cervix stays closed through 30w (I’m at high risk for IC), and gearing up for all the eventualities - I know I’ll need to advocate hard for myself so I’m trying to get my mind in the right place for that.

Had a very fast natural birth in the hospital with my first. Hoping to do the same again. My doctor keeps making jokes that I should live in the hospital parking lot close to my due date because of how fast he thinks it will be. Hopefully he's right 😆

I did a natural birth in the hospital with my one and only kiddo. I labored in the tub for like 2.5 hours. Had the birthing pool filled up and ready in case I felt like doing that. Ended up delivering on the bed. I did a loooot of reading to prepare for doing it naturally. My husband also did a lot of reading and we read “husband coached childbirth” together which was so helpful. He was the perfect coach and i probably wouldn’t have lasted drug free if it wasn’t for his support.

I had 3 natural births with no pain meds.. I wanted a home birth this time around but my midwife does not recommend due to past history. So I guess another natural birth in the hospital for me.

I had a home birth with my first and plan on doing the same. I had a very long, but wonderful experience with my 9lb. Baby girl. The water was very helpful!
