First time advice (sex)

My boyfriend and I are planning to have our first time on our anniversary aka Christmas but isk why my brother tells me it hurts for girls and tuff bc my bf is bffs with my brother and he tells him everything I don’t mind but I just want to know how it feels my friends tell me that it feels good and other people say it hurts and stuff and it’s weird to see a guy to put a condom or something so can I plz have u guys advice bc Christmas is faraway but will come by very fast
