BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA????

I’m considering breastfeeding my twins when they are born (Due May 2019) .... but my sister says it will be too much pumping? (She has 4 kids and never breastfed) ... what are your thoughts???

Give it a try. If you find it to be too much work, then change. Do whatever works best for you. You’ll never know until you try it out and see how it goes.

Its totally worth trying. Talk to a lactation consultant for some tips on nursing twins. Get a pump through insurance. And give it like 3 weeks to a month because the first couple weeks are most likely going to suck. Dont worry about pumping in that first month or so either unless you have an oversupply(I did and stocked up 150oz in no time) get used to it then add in pumping. It's really not that bad. If you decide it's not for you switch to formula. I definitely think it's worth trying though. The benefits are wonderful.

Everyone has different experiences. Atleast give it a try. My sister breastfed her twin boys , never pumped. 
I follow someone on social media with quadruplets and she pumps and bottle feeds them!

I would definitely try to breastfeed and just supplement with formula if you don’t produce enough right away.

I have a friend that does football hold with both her babies at the same time! It can be done. No harm in trying. However, if it doesn’t work out, at least pump for a while, especially in the beginning. And if you still need formula, ask their pediatrician or your obgyn for samples. I’ve walked out with cans of formula before (I had to supplement)

IMO...Sounds like your sister might just be lazy? You should absolutely try to breastfeed!

My sister in law spends 150$ a week for formula and you have 2! I would say definitely try and breastfeed. Anything can be “hard” at first, but once you establish a routine, it’s nothing! Those babies will benefit so much from your milk, and the bond is great. I would say try!

Im 7 weeks pregnant with my first, so no experience, but the benefits of breastfeeding are amazing. Even if its only part time. That said, if you can then you cant. A healthy baby is the goal and some moms dont produce enough or have other issues. Just do what you can and if your babies are healthy dont stress
