Facebook.. Post baby announcement??
This is my first Thread, i have been a member for years.
I posted my baby announcement on facebook. About 30 minutes later, I got a text from my future mother in-law saying, “You don’t post that on Facebook.”
So, a little background info- I do not post on facebook ever. I do gym check-ins (to help hold myself accountable), and I only just started a Facebook account in June 2018. I was an Arizona native (I am 30), and have lived in New York now for 14 months. The only people on my facebook are close family and friends (102 people) mostly from Arizona. I thought it was a great way to announce our news to everyone back home “in bulk”.
After getting that text from her, I cannot stop crying. She made me feel like I did something wrong and she is not happy for us. I know her son already has two kids (one grown and on her own, and one 9 years old, living with us), but this is my first and I was told by 3 doctors it was not even possible. It hurts that someone so close to us could bring any negativity on the subject.
So my question: Was I wrong to post this personal life experience on Facebook?
