It depends where you are in your pregnancy. In the first twelve weeks a full bladder will push up the womb/uterus so it's easier to see & hear your baby! But after 12 weeks when it's already risen a full bladder won't make a difference, it'll just possibly make you uncomfortable! 🌻🌻

In the beginning my US tech never wanted me to use the bathroom before my scans but the last time I went around 22 weeks I ended up having to to give baby more room to move around because she was laying in a position where we couldn’t see her heart. So I guess it depends on how far along you are but not specifically for sound purposes just for babies positioning.
