STOP SAYING THAT!

My MIL has saw my son maybe 10 times. Blows me off constantly and consistantly unless it benefits her. If it is something she wants to do she will say, "you bring my grandson over so I can show him off." The only time she wants to see him is if she has someone to "show him off" to. I'm trying to keep the peace but lady, stop saying that. He isn't a trophy. If he is one, hes mine. I'm not coming to show him around a bunch of people I do not know. IF, you made more effort to see him/us then I would not be so frustrated. I'm leaving out a lot of information, but this is the part that pushes me to the edge.
