PCOS?

Has anyone with PCOS had success using ovulation tests? This is my first month trying it, I have regular periods but I am overweight so I know that's also a strike against me. So far this month I haven't had any ovulation, testing once a day usually in the afternoon or evenings.

I have pcos, and I'm overweight too. I was using cheap ovulation tests for 12 months then when I went a bought answer brand ovulation strips from Walmart that 13th month I got pregnant.  I had 45 day cycles so I ovulated around cycle day 22-23. I thought it was never gonna happen after 13 months.

I have pcos too. And overweight. I used to never get a positive with the strips and I knew that had to do with my health. I know that with pcos th3 strips are much less reliable. Well this year they have accurately detected ovulation for me very month. They helped me realize when I O'd in my cycle (later than I thought!)

I cleaned up my diet and have been taking a few supplements on and off and gotten more diligent with my metformin and the strips haven failed me yet. I did manage to conceive in July with their help.

I have PCOS and my cycles can go anywhere from 45 days to 150 days. I can pinpoint ovulation with the sympto-thermal method of Fertility Awareness to the exact day, and I've had that confirmed by ultrasound. Cheaper and more helpful than the strips :)
